PLAYERS TO PICK UP

DOMINGO GERMAN http://www.coltsauthorizedshops.com/auth...nes-jersey , SP, New York Yankees (41 percent owned in Yahoo) – It’s looking like the Yankees have found something in German. The surface stats (4.77 ERA) don’t pop out, but his underlying numbers show he’s performing better than the stats. He’s generating a lot of swing-and-misses, and he has a great offense backing him up.

FREDDY PERALTA, SP, Milwaukee Brewers (25 percent) – Peralta got the call earlier this week, and he looks to remain in the Milwaukee rotation for the foreseeable future as the group lacks talent. He relies on his fastball a lot, so he’s going to have to start mixing in some secondary pitches to continue his success. He should be considered a SP5.

SHELBY MILLER, SP, Arizona Diamondbacks (6 percent) – Miller is coming off Tommy John surgery right into a two-start week. He’s a risky play next week, but he’s worth the stash to see if he can put it together in the pitcher-friendly environment as a backend starter.

KEVIN KIERMAIER, OF Youth Sam Darnold Jersey , Tampa Bay Rays (21 percent) – Let’s face it – the stolen-base specialists have let everyone down this year. Keirmaier was activated from the disabled list earlier this week, and while he struggled early in the year, he offers speed, but also contributes across the board. He’s an OF4 in category and roto leagues.

TWO-START PITCHERS TO STREAM

REYNALDO LOPEZ, SP, Chicago White Sox (24 percent) – It’s tough to trust Lopez on a week-by-week basis, but he has two above-average matchups next week against the Twins and the Rangers.

FRANKE MONTAS, SP, Oakland Athletics (23 percent) – Long term, Montas is a reliever, but for this year he’s worth streaming when he has good matchups. He has one against Detroit and then a weekend matchup against the Indians. He’s shown enough that he’s worth the gamble.

FELIX HERNANDEZ, SP Ronnie Harrison Color Rush Jersey , Seattle Mariners (46 percent) – Hernandez has only allowed three combined earned runs in his past two starts. It’s more impressive that those starts were against the Yankees and Red Sox. The success should continue against the Orioles and Royals.

HITTERS TO STREAM

MAX MUNCY, 1B/3B/OF, Los Angeles Dodgers (63 percent) – Why isn’t Muncy at least 80 percent owned? Pick him up for next week for his good matchups, and keep him in your lineup moving forward.

ERIC THAMES, 1B/OF, Milwaukee Brewers (47 percent) – The Brewers have six games against the Reds and the Royals. Only one is against a lefty. Thames could have a huge week ahead of him.

JON JAY, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks (31 percent) – All Jay has quietly done is produce for the Diamondbacks since his trade to Arizona. The D-backs have seven games against Miami and San Francisco. He can give you a boost in batting average next week.

This column was provided to The Associated Press by the Fantasy Sports Network, Sofia Goggia used what she called her best ever downhill run to lead an Italian sweep of the podium at a women’s World Cup race on Sunday.

Racing from a lowered start due to fog in the upper part of the hill, Goggia sped down the bumpy Karnten-Franz Klammer course in gutsy style, beating the field by more than a second.

”I have never skied so strong and consistent in my whole life in a downhill,” said the Italian after landing her third career victory. Last year Mike Remmers Color Rush Jersey , Goggia won both test events on the hill for the Pyeongchang Olympics.

”The snow I found here was exactly the same as in South Korea,” said Goggia, who timed 1 minute, 4.00 seconds to beat Federica Brignone by 1.10 and Nadia Fanchini by 1.35.

”I am super happy for the podium because it’s kind of an Italian party,” she said, adding that her thoughts were with teammate Elena Fanchini. Nadia’s older sister had to end her season to get treatment for a tumor.

”The victory is for me, for Elena, for Italy. We always have Elena in our thoughts,” Goggia said.

Tiffany Gauthier of France missed the podium by 0.14 to finish fourth for a second straight day, matching her career best result.

Avoiding the risk of getting injured a month before the Olympics, American standout Lindsey Vonn held back throughout in a cautious run and was more than three seconds off the lead in 27th.

Due to poor snow conditions, the mandatory training run before a downhill was canceled in the last few days and was held on Sunday morning Korey Toomer Color Rush Jersey , two hours before the race.

It was the first time in the 51-year-history of the World Cup that the Italian team took the top three spots in a women’s downhill.

The result came one day after Brignone won a super-G on the same hill. She also won a giant slalom in Lienz two weeks ago.

”I love Austrian slopes. Most of the time there are difficult conditions. I like it when it’s icy and bumpy,” said Brignone, who briefly considered skipping the season because of a persistent groin problem.

”We didn’t understand what it was,” she said. ”We tried different things. It’s not healed but for now it’s under control.”

Recovered from breaking an arm and hurting her spine in a crash a year ago, Fanchini got her first podium since winning in La Thuile, Italy, in 2016, which was her second win in an injury-marred career. She also placed fifth in the super-G.

Goggia praised Fanchini because ”she has suffered so much during her career with all the injuries but she never gave up. Sometimes a fifth or third place means more than a victory.”

Through Brignone as translator, Fanchini said she never thought she would ”come back so strong” from the injury.

”Emotionally it was a tough moment for my family,” she said, referring to Elena’s illness. ”Finishing third and fifth here, that is a dream.”

In sharp contrast to the aggressive runs by the Italians Sylvester Williams Color Rush Jersey , Vonn had a disappointing showing.

”I really had no gr[Image: nike_redskins_698.jpg]ip on the ice, felt like I was skiing on marbles,” said the American, who placed ninth in Saturday’s super-G. ”This course takes a lot of aggression and like really willing to risk everything. And I am just not willing to risk everything right now. I have been waiting eight years for the Olympics.”

Vonn added she was ”not necessarily disappointed in my result as it doesn’t matter right now. What matters is that I am healthy and that I didn’t end my season this weekend. Otherwise, you know, let’s just forget about the whole weekend.”

The women’s World Cup continues with more speed races in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, next weekend.
